Prayer and Refresh

We believe that God hears and answers prayer, and that prayer should be at the heart of everything we do as a church and as individuals, as we seek to follow Him. So we encourage as much prayer as possible!
There are a variety of opportunities to meet to pray with others:
Every Sunday morning 10am at Glenwood:  (before the morning service) We pray for the service and seek God as we meet together
Kindle: 7.30-9pm at Glenwood, monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (except August) We meet at a focus point of the Glenwood Faith Community, to wait on God together: to listen. to bless, to speak out.
GO pray: Monthly on a Sunday evening ( dates on current information sheet) We pray for our overseas and cross-cultural workers
Prayer & Fasting week: Once a year – usually early March – to focus on seeking God’s direction for us as church
Praying together is an important part of our Missional Small Group meetings and we also encourage individuals to meet together in 2s and 3s to pray and support one another.
If you would like someone to pray for you then the Prayer Ministry team are available to pray with anyone who requests that, at the end of each morning service.  We also have a Prayer Chain – a group of people who can be contacted to pray for “emergency” situations. The Pastoral Care team are also available to talk and pray with individuals on a one-to-one basis.

Refresh is a monthly event that takes place on Wednesday evenings at 8.00pm. This is a time of extended worship, an opportunity for the prophetic and for prayer. It is a time when we seek more of God for ourselves, our church and our communities.
